Edge of Life — Kenya

The story

A documentary shot on the ground in Kenya for a nutrition programme run with UNICEF. The film moves between the clinic queue, the store room where therapeutic food is counted out, the homes where mothers describe what changed, and the production floor where the packets are made.

The camera stays at eye level. Aerials place the settlement in its landscape; the rest is faces, hands and the small routines of care. Interviews are subtitled and left unscored where the words carry the weight.
